That Moment

How do we really know that moment, that instant in time, when something happens that changes your life forever?  These moments happen all the time but usually we are too preoccupied or too self-absorbed or too distracted to realize what just happened. But this weekend something happened that I knew was one of those "Moments".

At 12:08 PM on Saturday, February 21st Miss Amelia Kathleen Tigges entered the world and I knew at that moment my life and the lives of our big, extended family all just changed for the better. A few hours later I got to hold this miracle in my arms for the very first time and yep, she's already got Grandpa wrapped around her tiny finger and I couldn't be happier!

Thanks Alison. Thanks JJ. Thanks for making this miracle and thanks for making this Grandpa stop and notice how blessed he is. I'm excited to be part of this little girl's life and thankful for the promise her life holds.  I love you Amelia.
